Mgr.Josef Pukovec Jr. comes from a musically very branched family. He showed his talents at a young age and, following the example of his father (long-time solo-flutist JFO), he also began playing the flute. At the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava in the second year, he performed solo for the first time with the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava (1989).
A year later, he won the 2nd prize in the Competition Show of conservatories of the Czech Republic. He continued to work with JFO, with whom he performed his graduate concert (1994). J.Ibert - Flute concerto. As a listener of the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno, he became a laureate of the Chomutov Interpretive Competition (1997) and in the spring of 1998 he performed in Brno with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc.
He graduated from Jamu Music Faculty with prof. Ernest Bourk. Since 1995 he has been teaching at the Zdeňek Burian Music Art School in Kopřivnice. In 2000-2002 he was pedagogical at the Ostrava University of Music and since 1997 he has been a solo flutist JFO until the present.
